I don't always know what a piece is about when I begin writing it. Sometimes I only understand what I was trying to say after the final note is on the page. I write for concert band, orchestra, chamber ensembles and solo piano, following the emotional logic of an idea wherever it leads.

Who am I?
A composer who follows the idea
I write music because it gives me a way to turn things that are difficult to explain into something that can be heard. My work moves between concert band, orchestra, chamber music and solo piano, with an emphasis on emotional clarity and musical character.
Alongside composition, I arrange, orchestrate and perform. I am interested in the space between the written score and the people who eventually bring it to life, which is why I care about practical parts, clear engraving and useful performance resources.
